厌氧微生物的过程与机理;厌氧微生物的环境适应与进化;甲烷产生和氧化的微生物机理;微生物过程的环境调控作用;微生物地理分布规律。所采用的主要研究手段包括:分子生物学技术、环境基因组学、单细胞测序技术、稳定同位素示踪技术等。
